How Much Can You Earn Through Google's AdSense?

One popular misconception about the Google AdSense program is that the portion of the payment that you get varies depending on many metrics. Some people worry that to get the maximum revenue out of Google you should only display adverts on high click through pages and adverts on pages that don't get clicked will reduce your portion of the payout.

This is wrong!

First, sign into your AdSense account and go to the My Account tab across the top. Scroll down to the bottom to Property Information section (right at the bottom of the page) and there is a declaration there as to the percentage of each click's cost that you are earning. And that is 68% on content clicks and 51% on search clicks. As you can see these amounts are fixed. So forget these ideas that you are punished if your click rate is low - that's for Google AdWords.

What is the earning potential? So for clicks on adverts within your content, you are earning 68% of what the advertiser is paying for that position. Therefore, maximising what they are paying is all that is limiting how much you earn per click. And for this we have to look at your niche. If your website is in a high paying market, such as financials, then a few dollars per click is not unusual and I have even experienced far more than that. However, in niches where there is not much advertiser competition you might be looking at $0.01 per click, or less!

If you are wondering where you fall in the scale then do a few searches that are relevant to your website and see how many adverts are appearing to the side of the screen.

After that, the only limit is your own traffic. The more traffic on your website the more opportunities of getting clicks. Well, sort of.

It is not just how many people are on your website, but what sort of people are there. If you have thousands of regular readers on your site every day then you might actually have a lower income than with a few hundred visitors finding your site every day. Regular readers are more loyal and less likely to click off your site than someone who is browsing and content to click around for a while.

Your site's AdSense earning potential There are three factors then that determine your income potential:

1) How profitable your niche is 2) How many visitors you are getting 3) Whether your visitors are mainly loyal, or passing through

Doing Nothing and Still Making Money Online

These days it is very bad not to have a web page for yourself. Some people run businesses from a website, some simply blog about their life and things that are happening to them, and some socialize. Some websites are useful and informative, while others are simply done for the owners' own vanity. The most common theme among almost every site is that, in one way or another, the owner tries to make money. One of the most popular ways of using a website to generate money is by using AdSense. AdSense is a program that allows advertisements to be displayed on your website, and there are different programs in which the owner of the website can be paid.

Once you set up your website to run AdSense, different advertisements will appear on the website in predetermined location, typically as a banner or on the sidebar. This allows the owner of the website to remain in control of the content, look, and feel of the page, as well as leave plenty of room for the ads to run.

AdSense is the term coined by one company in particular, however, there are other Web companies that offer the same services. If you have a website and are interested in running AdSense, or a similar program, definitely do your research. Check out what each services costs, their terms, rules, and other guidelines before making your final decision.

There are many people who have websites that serve no other purpose except to promote themselves. AdSense is a great way for people who are not selling anything on their website to generate money. Unless the website receives an abundance of hits, AdSense will not make enough money to eliminate another job. It will, however, become a source of income that may earn the website owner enough money in a year to allow the owner to operate their website basically for free.

If you are running a website for business purposes you can also use AdSense to make additional money. You can set up your website and run it as you usually do, and have the banners running that AdSense puts out. You will not only be making money from your business, you will be bringing in money from this wonderful package by Google. You will likely be making a good deal of money from this money making program considering that you will have a steady stream of visitors to your site. AdSense will not only pay your web page fees, it will bring in a little extra as well!

Make Fast and Easy Money Online Through Google AdSense

Making fast and easy money online could be a misleading statement because internet users nowadays are very well aware of the numerous scammers online offering just that. But then again, there are legitimate ways of making easy money online. Affiliate marketing and being an eBay reseller are prime examples. But one sure way of earning money the easy way is through Google AdSense. It goes without saying that you should exert a considerable effort at first if you want to make money out of Google AdSense, especially if you're new to internet marketing. Here is how it goes:

You must have your own website or blog to get going with this business. Then you can proceed to sign up for a Google AdSense account, which is by the way totally free of charge. Just supply the required information and you're free to do business online. Just make sure you are a US citizen and above 18 years of age. You can then start placing ads on your site, ads that are relevant to your web content, and when visitors start clicking those ads, you start earning money. In essence people are paying Google for advertisements. Google in turn pays you whenever someone clicks your ads. So it is a great help for your business if you generate a huge traffic to your website. The more visitors coming to your website, the more chance of getting precious ad clicks thus increased revenues. You can do this by providing interesting and informative content to your website and blog to attract more and regular visitors to your website. You can also employ SEO optimization techniques and autoresponders to maximize your web presence. Popular sites can generate huge revenues stemming from the large volume of traffic they generate daily, so building up your website is essential in achieving your desired monetary goals.

Some people are thinking about earning good money right away with Google AdSense. Many are doing this actually, but realistically and statistically speaking you have to wait a little more time to really earn good money. But then again, once you make it past all the initial fuzz, making money through Google AdSense is as easy and fast as you can get.

Google AdSense Tutorial - How Can I Increase My AdSense Income Today?

Many years ago, when I put the first AdSense code on my home page, there were no such thing as a Google AdSense tutorial. It certainly would have made my life easier, if there had been, and I could have avoided wasting months of almost no income. Better late than never, though, so here are some basic questions and answers that will teach you how to make money with AdSense.

Q: Does it matter, how I form the URI?

A: The URI is the address to your website, and yes, it matters a lot, how you form it! On my own site, I experienced a chance in going from less than a dollar per month to more than $10 per day, just by changing my URI into something better. Originally, I had an URI that looked like this: homepage.com/tip/256, and I changed it into showing the name of the article instead.

Q: I have the same title on all pages - is that okay?

A: No, it's not okay, if you want to make money with your site. Your title - as well as your headline - should reflect the keywords, you use in that particular article.

Be ware that your title doesn't show directly on your page. You'll only see it in the title bar of your browser.

Q: What colour should I choose for the borders around the advert? Black?

A: That depends entirely on the background colour, you've chosen for your site. You should choose the exact same colour for your borders - which would make them 'invisible', and that's the purpose.

The goal is to blend your adverts in with the text, and you do that among other things by avoiding borders.

Q: Should I always choose a white background for the ads?

A: Again, this depends on what colour, you have behind the ad. Pick the same colour for the AdSense unit as you have chosen for background.

Q: How about colours for text, title, and URL?

A: I recommend that you match the colour of your headlines with the colours of the titles in your ads. As for the URL's, you can either choose blue or the same colour as your headlines.

Q: Which size is the best to choose for the ad units?

A: Let's start with the worst. Don't ever choose the 468 x 60 banner sized ad, unless you have a very good reason to do so. I've found that the bigger the better. Go with the large rectangle or the broadest leader board.

Q: And where should I place the ads?

A: Take a look at your home page or blog. Where do you think people look, when they visit it? This is where you should place your ads. Always 'above the fold', which means the part of the site, people can see immediately in their browser, and always where they would naturally look, i.e. inside the text, in the menu, etc.

Google AdSense Secrets to Create More Money

There are many things that you can do in order to create more AdSense income from your website. In fact, you should always be testing and tweaking things on your website to ensure that you are optimizing the amount of earnings you make. Google even provides you advice and tips on how to make more money. There are also plenty of things that Google won't tell you. Here are a few Google AdSense secrets that I have learned over the last 3 years.

First and foremost, make sure that you understand all of the AdSense terms of service that you agreed to when you first signed up for the program. Breaking these rules and regulations simply to make more money can back fire in a short period of time. You may lose your rankings in their index or worse, they may completely ban you from ever being able to use AdSense again. Be smart and don't break the rules.

In all of my experiences, the blue links get the most clicks. So even though you want to integrate your AdSense ads to make them look like they are a part of your website, you should still always make sure that the clickable header links are always blue. I think that most people just recognize the blue color and make the correlation that they are in fact links and they will be more inclined to click on them.

The only way to make more money is to get more traffic to your website. Therefore, it is imperative that you take the time to optimize your website for keywords that will bring your website free traffic forever. Do keyword research to find out which keywords you should use on your website that will bring you free traffic easily and quickly.

Go after product based niches. The type of websites where you are offering advice, write-ups, and/or reviews about products will get a much higher click through rate than non-product based websites. Think about it. The person who finds your website will more than likely be searching to buy the product that you write about. When they see the AdSense links that are advertising the product they are thinking about buying, they are probably going to click on that link.

Try to buy the exact match domain URL if it is available. So, if your main keywords were "big blue widgets" you would want to buy "bigbluewidgets. com,.net, or.org. This will give you a big boost in the search engines and you won't have to work as hard getting your website to rank highly for "big blue widgets".

How to Make Money With Google AdSense - The Easiest and Most Effective Way

Making money with Google AdSense came be a tough thing to figure out. But in reality it is very easy. The method I will tell you about will not make you a millionaire over night. I wouldn't even say that you will be a millionaire in a year. Although, I will say that it can be done using this method. It is all on you.

Let's get started. If you are reading this then I assume you already have an AdSense account. The next thing you want to do is get a website. Once you have that fill it up with whatever you want. Just make it interesting otherwise people won't go to it.

After you do all of that it is now time to advertise your website and get traffic it to it. What you want to do is to announce it to all kinds of social networks and also write articles about it. When you write articles it doesn't all need to be about your website. You can actually write about whatever you want. It doesn't even have to be that interesting. All you have to make sure and do is put your link to your website in the author resource box.

I recommend doing about five articles a day. They don't have to be perfect but remember in order to make any kind of money you must work for it. There is no such thing as free money. With a little time and effort you should be able to make a hundred bucks a day in no time.

One more thing to remember is that a lot of people do this. Therefore, it might take you longer than you think. Best of luck to you and hope this works out for you.

One last thing, don't be afraid to fail, we all do from time to time.

How PPC Ad Quality And Position Is More Important Than Ad Quantity

As webmasters we are tasked with the job of organizing a web page to be effective and user friendly at the same time. When designing a web page, often the last area a designer tackles is the position of ads on the page. Lets face it in most cases the aim of a website is to make a little money for the webmaster, whether that be by sell their own products or by advertising the products of others.

There are many examples out there of websites that have taken very little time thinking about their ad placement, they place ads in every available space on the site. The effect of this is an overly poor user experience, confusing layouts, and ultimately low click through rates on the ads they do display.

Take some time as the over the layout of the websites you create and as a webmaster always have a clear idea over where ads will be placed on the page. Also bear in mind that more is not necessarily better. Too many ads on one page and your users will literally become blind to them, you may get a few accidental clicks here and there but the cash generated by these is likely to be relatively low and will likely decrease over time.

Rather than bombarding people with ads all over the place choose locations where there is a proven natural click through advantage. For example banner ads halfway down the page on the right hand side are between three and ten times more likely to attract customers than banner ads appearing at the top of the screen. It may seem counter intuitive, after all the most common place you will see a banner is at the top of the screen but believe me this is not the best place to advertise using things like AdWords.

Think about it, presumably your users have come to your page for a reason. Maybe they were attracted by an article or forum post, how they got there does not really matter the point is that they want something from that page. To bombard them with ads before they have found what they are looking for is in my humble experience an in-efficient way to build a web page.

Try to include ads after your main page content or down the right hand side of the screen next to the browsers scroll bar. Reason being that the user has at these points taken what they wanted form the page and will be most receptive to outside advertisement.

In short use your common sense as a webmaster when placing ads after all nobody knows your website like you do. Try to include them at a point when the user is most likely to have finished browsing and may be looking for another page. Stick to this basic principle and you will in the long run receive much better Click through rates.

Making Money From Your Websites

A large number of people create websites and blogs but allow them to remain dormant. Hosting a website costs money. Creating a blog doesn't. But both involve investment of considerable time. They say time is money but I will say time is more valuable than money because time is a resource which we are left with less and less every day. When you invest your time in creating something valuable, should you not aim to get a return for that investment? Making money from your websites is possible and easy. It should also be your goal.

Why do you create a website or blog? You may say that you don't do it for money. May be you have a passion for something and your website is a way of expressing that passion. You may have an expertise in your field which you may like to share with the world. Your website may just be for socializing by drawing visitors whom you would like to socialize with. You may host a website to publicize your business. You may use the website as an information outlet or a source of publicity. You may host a website for fun. You may like to see your name on the web. Or you may just be crazy to do things with no motive.

If you browse the net, you will come across some websites where you will find small boxes on the top or on the sides displaying shot advertisements. How do these ads appear on these sites and more importantly what do the website owners get out of it? You guessed it right. The website owner gets paid for displaying these ads. To be more accurate, you won't get paid just for displaying the ads. You will earn only if the ads are clicked. The more clicks on the ads, the more money you make. If this statement gives you an idea that you can earn an unlimited income by clicking on the ads again and again, you are doomed if you commit the mistake of clicking these ads yourself. These ads are flashed on to your site by Google, the most popular search engine, if you apply for and get a Google AdSense account. One of the conditions stipulated by Google is that you should not click the ads on your websites. If you do so, your account will be canceled and you will not be able to use Google AdSense again in your lifetime.

But you can get a lot of clicks and earn handsomely by generating traffic to your site, which will result in the visitors to your sites clicking these ads.

The number of people applying to be a publisher with the AdSense program grows everyday. The point is that making money is a huge business. A lot of people want to make money online, but often they forget the "how to" in making money with Google AdSense.

Below is a list of ten how to points you will need to know about making money with the Google AdSense program.

1) Location of your ads are vital: This can not be stressed enough some websites make money simply by having traffic which click on a well placed ad. If the ad is not placed well, you will not see an increase in money.

2) Colour of your AdSense ads on your blog or website: This is a more experimental thing. Some websites need a blog statement to make money with your website, in other words they need to have contrast to make money on the Google AdSense ads. Some websites need to have an ad blend into the background to make money online.

3) Traffic: Increase traffic and you will make money. This is a simple idea, and yet this is also where the most people will fail since, you will need a lot of traffic to make money. Plan to have traffic come from as many different sources as possible.

4) This is a business: This should always be kept in mind when dealing with Google AdSense.

5) Google AdSense is based upon Google AdWords: The how of this business is that you will have another program known as Google AdWords which are the basis for your ads on your website. The goal is to make certain that these link well with your blog or website.

6) Your goals your business: This is the most important part of how. If you plan to build your website and increase traffic your goals need to be similar to what your business offers to people. By this if your blog is about writing, your ads should be about writing and not SEO.

7) Think Like Google: By this go to the Google search and type in a few phrases and see what you get. This might provide you with more ideas.

8) Look at your Titles, and Keywords and Content: content is king, but if your title is poor and your keywords are not optimized then you will still lose out on the whole business aspect of Google, as they look at the big picture, which is your content and the details, your title and keywords within your work.

9) Things change: Keeping current is important, as once the PageRank was one of the most valuable things and then it was the SEO and then linking. Everything is important. In this business, and Google more so, everything can and will change.

10) Your website needs to be found by Google: How your website is found online is one thing, this can be through links or via simply be found by comments, but the most important place where your website needs to be found in on the search engines. 7 Easy to Apply Tips to Improve AdSense Earnings Instantly

If you are not creating the type of income you had hoped from your AdSense account, it may be because a number of things. Don't be afraid to test out different layouts and/or templates to place your website and ads on. It may be as easy as changing their appearance, position, or even the number of ads you have on your page. Here are 7 tried and proven methods that you can use to increase your AdSense earnings.

1. Make your ads stand out but blend in at the same time. What I mean by this is that you want your ads to look like they are a part of your website but also have them be appealing enough to catch the eyes of your viewers. Don't choose gaudy colors on the links. Make them appear natural and noticeable.

2. Go after "buying" keywords. Use keywords in your content that attract people who are looking to buy. This means that they are more likely to click on your links that are selling the products they are looking to buy.

3. Add more content. The more content you have on your website, the more pages that will be indexed, and the more likelihood that more people will find your content. This is simple mathematics but many people choose not to do it, but you will receive more traffic and more money if you have more content.

4. Use only one ad slot. Many people that use AdSense probably don't realize the fact that you will earn more per click the less ads you include on the page. So if you have 10 clicks on a one ad slot page, those 10 clicks would earn more than a page that had two or more ad slots on it.

5. Always test the different ad types and even the position of the ads on your page. There are many different ad types you can choose from when setting up your ads as well as many different possible locations where you can put these ads. Test and record the results to find the best combinations.

6. Set up more websites. If you are having difficulties in getting traffic to one website, try putting up another one to see if you have any more luck with it. Some niches are MUCH easier to get traffic to than others.

7. Reduce the number of outs on your page. This is a surprisingly very helpful tip that many people don't realize, but if the only way to get off of your page is through Google ads, it will increase your CTR immensely! Take out those extra links on your page that aren't going to make you any money and watch your AdSense earnings soar through the roof!

Want Money Making Ideas That Work? AdSense Does - Used The Right Way

People are searching for money making ideas that work, because they know that a lot of those guides out there are worthless. I can tell you from personal experience that AdSense works. You just have to know how to use it. In this article, you'll learn what to look out for, and what to do.

My Own History With AdSense

In April 2005, a Danish forum owner told his list -- including me -- about a new thing he had from Google. He had put AdSense on his forum, and he made some money with it.

I already had banner ads on my home site, but they didn't make me any income at all, so I thought: Why not try AdSense?

So I did. I put them on, as Google proposed them, with colourful themes, borders and all. Since I already used banners, I chose the same size for my ads: 468 x 60.

Then I tested the ad by clicking on it myself. I couldn't see the click registered, so I contacted Google, who politely told me that it was against their rules to click on your own ads.

Three weeks later, I started to see a few clicks, but they made me only very little money. Less than one dollar per day.

It was only when I got hold of a book that I learnt more about AdSense, and when I finally invested in Joel Comm's book about AdSense ($97 back then), by income sky-rocketed. I went from less than $1 per day to more than $10, and then $40, and then... One day, I had more than $100 in income.

Now I make a steady income of around $2,000 per months, and even much when it's Easter or Christmas.

Get Accepted Into AdSense Programme

Your first hurdle is to get accepted into the AdSense. The easiest way to go is by creating a blog at Blogger.com and write a few blog posts.

Then you can apply for the programme, and you should get accepted in a few days. The last time I helped a friend with this, she got her welcome letter within an hour after having applied for it.

When you create your first blog, don't make it inside the money making-business. And stay away from illegal things, of course, but also from pornography, violence, hatred, etc. Use your common sense.

Integrate The Ads On Your Site

The main secret of making money with AdSense is the way you integrate the ad blocks on your site.

You shouldn't make them stand out. Use the same colours that you use on your site, and use the same background colour, both on the borders of your ads, as well as the ad's background itself.

The ads have to blend in with the content, so they almost look like a part of it.

Tools For AdSense

If you are considering trying to make some money with Google's AdSense, it is worth doing some study first. After all, you have a number of things to think of before you start. These are things like the colour, the size and the position of the adverts themselves, but you also need to know Google's rules for letting you use AdSense. For example, there are restrictions on how many ads and search boxes you can put on any one page, but not on any one website.

Google itself provides a ton of knowledge about which are the best size ads to use and where to position them. The first thing for anyone wanting to use AdSense to do is go and read what Google has to say on its own product.

Experience may have taught you to be a bit suspicious while listening to companies blowing their own trumpet and some scepticism is useful here too.

Google allows three ads, two links and three search bars per page (I think at the time of writing) and if you do not put all this stuff on your web page, Google will write to you suggesting that you do. Take this with a pinch of salt. Google does not care whether you make a living wage as long as everyone makes something, because they get 50% of what you make. Multiplied by hundreds of millions of websites.

Let's take these units one by one. First the search box: why would you want to provide your visitors with an easy escape route? You only get about 4-5 cents for doing it whereas if they click out in another manner you can get $6-$9. Crazy.

Second, the links: links pay out very low per click; far lower than the ads - again look for 5-6 cents a click. They are a waste of time. Third, the ads: the big ads are good earners and so are the skyscrapers. Other ads may do well on your site, they do not on mine and nor does the option of permitting picture ads.

Why put a big box advertisement and then hobble it by allowing one picture ad on it, when you can have four different text ads? Again, crazy. Now, just a thought on this. This is pure speculation you understand: if you put three ads going down your page and a link at the bottom, what occurs?

I have to take for granted that Google will position its most costly ads first to maximize revenue, so as the visitor reads down the page the ads are gradually becoming worth less money.

The reader gets to the bottom of the page and clicks out on your cheapest ads having by passed your expensive ads at the top. So why not only put one large advertisement block and be done with it?

Google gives plenty of help with statistics including which web pages earned the most money and where the surfers came from. Look for their link to Google Analytics and install the small chunk of code on your website. You will learn a lot. Learn to read your cPanel statistics too and study them regularly

If your browser accepts Add-Ons, do a search for 'AdSense' perhaps there are a couple you will find handy.
